It is particularly important in the normal functioning of the nervous system via its role in the synthesis of myelin, and in the maturation of developing red blood cells in the bone marrow.”[1]

Vitamin C is a vital antioxidant molecule in the brain. It has a number of other important functions, participating as a co-factor in several enzyme reactions including catecholamine synthesis and collagen production.
